2025 ”In Our Backyard“ Film Festival SUBMISSIONS
Founded in Compton in 2017, we set out to revive the local art community and uplift its artists. Through curated galleries, film screenings, music events, and international sponsorships, we bring authentic stories from “The Hub City” to light. Committed to blending mental health and the arts, we create spaces for healing, growth, and support through creativity.
We focus on actively contributing, supporting and educating the Artists community in Compton, Ca. That includes but is not limited to their participation in the arts economy, providing opportunities for professional and personal development, while continuously supporting collaborative projects, and continued arts education.
We got our start in the city of Compton in 2017. Our first meetings were held at local restaurants and at the homes of a few of our Compton neighbors who believed in us. Our team was built based on a genuine love for the arts and the community of Compton and it’s surrounding cities; which make Compton “The Hub“ City”. We know the true history of Compton and the stories of the Artists that’s have submerged from this great city and we also know what image the world tries to paint. We believed that the Art Community needed to be revived and the local Artists elevated. We have curated a handful of successful Art Galleries, Film and Artists Discussions, Music events, sponsored Artists to travel internationally, encouraged Artists to push themselves to new levels, Collaborated with other foundations in and outside of the city of Compton. We plan to continue growing and merging a space for mental health and the arts to merge to heal the artist and the viewer through the ARTS and support.
